For over 40 years, Lehi Sheet Metal has been producing quality precision sheet metal products.
Lehi Sheet Metal Corporation opened in September 1978 in Ashland, MA in a 3,000 square foot building. My father started the company on his own with a machining background and desire to expand that trade to include precision sheet metal production.
In 1980, Lehi Sheet Metal moved to Westborough, MA where we expanded and built a 20,000 square foot building to house our operation.
I began working at Lehi Sheet Metal when I was just 14 years old, working after school and summers throughout my high school years. At the age of 17, I took on additional responsibilities with the company and garnered oversight of the deburring department.
After high school, I attended Plymouth State University where I majored in accounting and minored in both marketing and mathematics. Post college, I returned to Lehi Sheet Metal to assist my family with running the business during a downturn. My intentions were to continue my career path in Accounting but quickly saw great opportunities to turn the company back around and for it to grow to a new potential. I was eager to learn more about the business and all departments and make improvements. As an expeditor, and getting involved in the other departments, I identified inefficiencies and developed ideas for improvement. I coordinated and implement these strategies to benefit the company and the employees. Within 3 weeks, I was on my way to NYC to learn a programming language for the Amada turrets. It was there that I realized that this was a sign that my father wanted me to continue working with him at the company. And in turn, it was when I realized I wanted to make a difference at Lehi and put my knowledge to work.
My father appointed me General Manager of Lehi Sheet Metal in 1990. As such, my responsibilities with the company expanded and I enjoyed the challenges of the position. Quality and on-time delivery were enhanced. Processes were streamlined and customers quickly noticed our positive enhancements.
Our employees at Lehi Sheet Metal are second to none. We have built our legacy on creating and fostering an exceptional employee relationship. We take great pride in our employees and they have mastered relaying that pride into the production of our products for our customers. The average number of years our employees have been with Lehi is 16 years.
In 2001, we expanded our building space to 50,000 square feet. With the expansion came upgrades on equipment to continue to streamline and enhance processes.
In 2007, we purchased a paint and powder coating company and brought it into the building. Galaxy Coatings, Inc. further assisted with customer requests as we then had the ability to maintain oversight of production and painting within the building.
In 2015, I opened a machine shop, MB Machining, Inc. and this company was also housed within the Lehi Sheet Metal building. We again expanded our ability to service customers with precision sheet metal production, painting and powder coating, and now machining, all under the same roof.
Throughout the years, I continued to grow the companies and bring the latest technology and machinery to the operations. Not only do we have the ability to fabricate, machine and paint on site, we have top of the line welders, assembly personnel, quality inspectors and engineering department to ensure all aspects of our products meet customer expectations.
In 2018, I purchased Lehi Sheet Metal and Galaxy Coatings from my parents. My focus was, and still is, to keep our Vision Statement at the forefront. Our employees and customers are the priority as we deliver world class quality products. We continue to prove this with a greater than 99.% quality products. Our ingenuity is continually challenged as we strive to be the best in the industry.
Lehi Sheet Metal is built on a base of Visual Manufacturing, is ISO 9001 Certified (2010), ITAR certified (2017) and nearing AS-9100 certification.
